American Apple pie recipe is a dessert that is traditionally made by filling a pie crust with sliced apples and then baking the pie. The crust  usually made from flour, butter, and water, and the filling  made from apples, sugar, and spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. During occasions like Thanksgiving, apple pie is a common dessert offered in the United States. It is often served with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream on top.

Beef Vindaloo Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 6 cups of sliced and peeled apples (about 6-8 medium apples)
  • 3 tablespoons of flour
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, flour, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Fill the pie dish with the apple mixture, then top with butter.
  5. Place the second pie crust, which has been rolled out, on top of the filling. 
  6. Make a few slits in the top crust to let the steam out.
  7. Bake the pie  for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the filling bubbles and the crust turns golden.
  8. Allow the pie to cool before serving. Enjoy!
