Homemade Vinaigrette:

In a glass jar with a cover, combine the fresh lemon juice, mustard, vinegar, olive oil, sugar, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to make vinaigrette. Once the ingredients are combined, give it a quick shake, and it’s ready to go.

It will separate and freeze in the fridge, so shake the jar and run it under warm water to re-boil the dressing to room temperature before serving. You can store this in the refrigerator for up to a week.

However, making your own vinaigrette is not necessary for this salad. You could get away with using a high-quality store-bought vinaigrette like Newman’s Own because there is enough going on here. A vinaigrette that is too sweet and salty is not what you want.

  • 2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped

How to make the dressing:

Making the salad:
